Longer still

Now is the time.

First and foremost, my heart goes out to the families of Deputy Joel Wahlenmaier and Officer Javier Bejar. Two men that chose to selflessly protect the citizens of the communities that lived in were killed in the line of duty doing what they swore to do. The COWARD that ended their life chose to take his own life instead of facing the consequences of his actions. There is nothing to say to those families who have suffered this gigantic loss except Thank You. Thank You for your sacrifice, and I'm deeply sorry for your loss.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -by the Divine Power of God -cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

I have had issues, in the past, with being committed to anything other than my family and job. Sometimes I start off great guns with something new.....ie.....getting in shape, keeping the house clean.....that type of thing. I think this time I am going to take the group approach. In the small community I live in, there are a bunch of people that like to stay in shape and have done some amazing things to help people. I NEED to be committed to staying healthy. For me and for my family. So, here's the plan.

While I was still on graveyards, I really got into training for a triathlon, and I think some of the other folks I work with would like that also. Therefore, I am going to start a "club" of sorts for folks that would like to train for triathlon. Daily workouts at specific meeting points, training schedules, and maybe a friendly little competition 2 or 3 times a year. With everything that you can do online now for fitness tracking....I think that it might be a pretty fun thing to do. Who knows, if it is a success, we can have a program for all 3 watches so nobody is left out, and everyone can get healthy.
